Malpe Beach
About 6 kms from Udupi is Malpe, an ideal picnic spot with its virgin beach. The endless stretch of golden sand, graciously swaying palm trees, the clear blue sky and the gurgle of the sea all set the perfect mood for an unforgettable holiday here. Malpe is famed for its silvery beaches that offer breathtaking views of the sea. An idyllic resort for boating, fishing and bathing the town lies around 386 km from Bangalore. Udupi is at a distance of 60 km from Mangalore. The best time to visit there is between October to January.
Maravanthe Beach
Maravanthe beach is 50 km from Udupi. The endless stretch of golden sand, swaying palm trees, clear blue sky and the flow of the sea attracts a large number of tourists to this spot. At sunset, the red sky and golden rays convert the entire environs into a fairyland of scenic beauty. A drive further up is the Belekal Theertha falls, near Baindur.

Bhatkal Beach
Famous Bhatkal Beach is located at a distance of 16-km from Bhatkal and 126 km from Karwar. Dotted by the calm blue seas and majestic hills, this beach is a popular tourist spot and known for the exquisite temples. Best season to visit Bhatkal beach is from August to March.
Mangalore Beach
Mangalore is a beautiful place situated between the coastal states of Goa and Kerala. Murudeshwar Beach

It is known for the gorgeous temple perched on a hillock by the shore. The temple which embodies a Linga is believed to have erupted when Ravana flung the cloth covering the Atmalinga at Gokarna while lifting it. As one ascends the hillock, there is a shrine of Jattiga seated on a horse. There is a huge fort behind the temple, said to have been renovated by Tipu. The place can be visited all the year round.
Karwar Beach

Gokarna Beach
With its narrow streets, traditional houses and temples, the nondescript town of Gokarna has become the favorite haunt of Hindu pilgrims, Sanskrit scholars and beach buffs. Locals believe that Gokarna derives its name from a legend in which Lord Shiva emerged from the ear of a cow. Literally meaning 'cow's ear,' this village is formed by the ear-shaped confluence of two rivers. Adventurous travelers must be prepared for a bit of cliff-scrambling in this coastal town. Om beach, one of Gokarna's five famed beaches, takes the shape of an 'Om,' a spiritual symbol. The other beaches, wedged between gigantic cliffs that protrude like delicate fingers into the sea, are Gokarna, Kudle, Half Moon and Paradise. The drive up the winding path that leads to Gokarna is a scenic delight with Rocky Mountains and the Western Ghats on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other. Here, you can experience the famed Karnataka hospitality in friendly guesthouses run by local families.
